The log file should be recreated.  Have you double check that the registry
entries you made are in the right place, no typos, and are type "DWORD"?

Also, there is an error in the documentation.  The log file is created in
the Windows "System" directory (varies depending on Windows version, my XP
has it in c:\windows\system32), not the VNC directory.
