I'm triying to use realvnc 3.3.6 build nov 27 2002 13:46:55 Within LAN no problem the program works fine but when i try to use it from Internet through a smc barricade 7401BRA router, the only message i've got was : "Failed to connect to server". I've called smc, the answer was to : - make a factory reset - set-up the router by opening port 5900 and and redirect it to the lan ip of the machine that runs vnc (either in server or listen mode) After these changes, problem remains the same. realvnc documentation indicate that it's possible to take hands through a router, smc knows vnc program, so what it does'nt work ?
