Thanks for the response: However, I am really hoping to have it just block a vnc clinet from connecting if someone else is already connected. I do not want multiple users to connect at the same time to the server.
Tim Greetings, I think there is an option "/shared" in vncviewer.exe (commandline only) that allows multiple connection to a single WinVNC server. Only restriction is that all participants (who are connecting to the same server) must use "/shared" option to prevent other users from disconnecting. HOWEVER, "/shared" is not recommendable since all participants have the input control. My recommendation is "/shared /viewonly". In addition, if you are sharing a desktop PC (e.g. Pentium II 350 Mhz with 128MB), I don't think you can share more than 7 concurrent connections. With 3.3.3R9, my WinVNC server crashed. I hope it helps. Jae H. Park Software Integration Engineer Information Technology Services California State University, Los Angeles Tel. (323)343-2778 Fax. Looking at the documentation, it appears that I need to change the following registry key to 2: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\WinVNC3\ConnectPriority However, this did not solve the problem. People are still disconnecting others when connecting to the server. I want the connection to be refued if someone is already connected. Any suggestions?
