Thanks for your help. vncserver runs OK now. And I looked at the article you
reference, it's exactly what I'd like to do, so I'll try it on a "spare"
machine and hope I don't completely screw things up. (and it's written for
RH7.3, I hope it doesn't matter if I am using 8.0)

I apologize for my next question, it's off topic and I'm a newbie:

Meanwhile, when I run the rsh command, I get Connection Refused. I have rsh
enabled and I restarted xinetd (using RH Service Configuration panel). I
tried
run rsh both as a user and as root. Any ideas why I can't rsh to localhost?
