Thanks William for your reply to my suggestion. :-) Perhaps I should modify my
suggestion a bit.... I came into the list archive
page at http://www.realvnc.com/pipermail/vnc-list/ via a link from
http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/archives/ Since there is no
link off of the archive page pointing to your search engine I did not have a way to
find it. So my modified suggestion is to add
such a link to all the archive pages.

Speaking as a webmaster myself, this is a common sort of mistake in many websites. The
webmaster believes he has exposed all the
information a user requires by "controlling" the path the user must traverse in order
to use the website. Then some other website
makes a direct link into the internal structure of the website and thus confuses the
user...

Still hoping someone can tell me how to set the idle/timeout time for the VNC
server... Using the search engine I found some who
were having just the opposite problem, i.e. it was never disconnecting for them...
Appears to be some sort of registry variable that
controls this perhaps??? but I have not been able to find it yet...

     Marc...
