William, Thanks. The windows "File Sharing" issue makes sense.
It's not my network. It's my wife's daughter and son-in-laws (and grand kids). They are some distance away and I didn't want to make a special trip without some hope of success. Re: The subject line. I hate it when I do that. I know better. I just get involved and forget. Thanks for being kind in the way you mentioned it. If so, will VNC viewer on a > Win 95 box work > with a VNC server on Win XP (PRO I think)? The download page says "Windows 9x/2000/NT/XP", so I would assume the vncviewer wouldn't have any issues running on Win95. Are you having any specific problems? > I have been told that Win 95 will not talk to (share files > with) Win XP. > However, the Win 95 box in question is acting as a connection > to the ISP > (COX I think) for the Win XP machine. Could that be a PRO v. > non-PRO issue? VNC doesn't use Windows file sharing, so this is not an issue. > Any suggestions or advice? Please change the subject line to something more informative than "RE: VNC-List digest, Vol 1 #419 - 19 msgs" in the future. -- William Hooper _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
