Basically, pc1 would need to be turned on, unless you have a computer
that supports "Wake On Lan", and some software to send it the "wake up"
message. Basically some PCs can be turned on if they receive a certain
message. I have to admit, off the top of my head, I cannot think of any
software to do this.

Subject: my very 1st question

I'm new to this list and this is my very first question. It may or most
probably is a dumb question, so please pardon my ignorance as I'm
totally new to this 'remote access' computing world. My question is:

To access my server computer (pc1) from a second computer (pc2), should
pc1 be turned on? if yes .. should it also be connected to the web?

Many thanks
Hass Shayto
