Does anybody know how to maintain and/or increase the space available in the drop-down box of the viewer? I'd like to be able to select computer names that I've entered before from the dropdown menu...makes life a whole lot easier for us in the IT Department if we could do that.
As answered just 8 hours ago you can maintain that list by editing the registry values in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\VNCviewer\MRU]
As far as I understand the viewer sourcecode the precompiled maximum is 8 so you would need to recompile the sourcecode to increase the max (BTW: The absolute maximum seems to be 26, the number of letters in the alphabet.)
A better way to generate a list of preselectable computers would be to generate a .vnc file or a shortcut for each pc. In a shortcut you would use something like "vncviewer.exe server:display". A .vnc file can be generated by opening the viewer's contextmenu and selecting "Save connection info as..".
