Thanks, Beerse buddie!

I have changed /etc/xinetd.d/vnc-800x600x8 to the
following contents, (I removed -inetd)

--------
service vnc-800x600x8
{
          protocol = tcp
          socket_type = stream
          wait = no
          user = nobody
          server = /usr/bin/Xvnc
          server_args = -query localhost -once -geometry 800x600 -depth 8
}
--------

After rebooting the machine, I use telnet to test whether the setup
is correct, then an error message occurs,

--------
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# telnet 192.3.6.6 5951
Trying 192.3.6.6...
Connected to 192.3.6.6.
Escape character is '^]'.

Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
        If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
        and start again.

Connection closed by foreign host.
--------

Can you help?

regards,
George
