You may have been hit by a new virus out that uses VNC as a back door into the
computer. See here:

Subject: Remove Problem on W2K Server

I just configured a new Windows 2000 Server in the last week, and I
never even heard of this program before. When I login to the system the
WinVNC:Current User Properties screen keeps popping up on my desktop. I
can't find any files on the system related to winvnc, I search the
registry and do find several entries for ORL and delete these, but they
are back the next time I login. I am hoping someone can help me
permanently remove the software. Also, any suggestions on how it got
their in the first place. There was never a program group listed or
entry in Add / Remove Programs. I scanned through most of the online
documentation and mailing list info with no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Beau Pearson.
