Sorry folks... the email for the list was being dumpped in a different
folder so I didn't see the messages that are similar to my situation. I
have installed the latest version of VNC downloaded from the web site here.
I did not install the Red Hat flavor of the software prior to the install.
Do I need to uninstall and install the Red Hat version to get to where I was
wanting to be? The one I have running pulls up a terminal session just
fine, but doesn't capture the kde desktop of the console as I wished.

Subject: Accessing the kde desktop

I just started using VNC on Redhat 8.0 and have found that I can start up a
session with ###.###.###.###:1 . The issue I am wanting to resolve is that
I would like to have the console's kde desktop in this session. That is to
say, I wish to see the normal desktop when sitting at the console but when I
remote into the box I want to see the very same desktop not a different
session. Is there a way to accomplish this or am I stuck?

Thanks,
Ken...
