I have realvnc server loaded on a Windows ME machine. Getting connected to my lan via vpn is no problem. Once connected the remote (xp) computer with realvnc viewer has access to other resources on the network. The problem I am having is that once I invoke the viewer, the connections details box displays correctly and the IP address that is in the VNC Server field is correct. Once I click OK, the VNC Authentication box that prompts for the session password Does not appear. The VNC Server process just times out. If I go to the Windows ME machine and just re-enter the password, it seems to work fine for about 1-2 more remote connects. Is there anything I am missing.. This problem does not appear to be happening locally.
