Last I heard, when someone is a criminal and an evil monopolist (yes, I'm talking about your buddy in Redmond, Herr Gates), you're not "mean" to point them out as such.
Good riddance, and may you and your apathetic Winvocate kin meet the fate of obsolescence and irrelevance you so rightly deserve. Just because I'm using a computer doesn't mean I can throw my sense of morality out the window. You seem to forget that morals apply to computers too-- and that it is not "mean" or even "wrong" to oppose (yes, even vocally) immoral actions by immoral companies. I am tired of the peer pressure to regard Windows as "just another operating system", and Microsoft as "just another company." Windows is Microsoft's tool for the illegal and immoral monopolization of ALL THINGS DIGITAL. Speaking out against it is not "mean", nor does it indicate a failure to "grow up". HAVING A SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG IS NOT "JUVENILE". (Quite the contrary!) On Thu, 5 Jun 2003, Chris Thompson wrote: > Thanks to all for the great advice when I needed it.
