Thanks for verifying that you have got this working with Redhat 7.2.  I will
make the tests that you have suggested and post when I have more
information.

I have tested with VNC 3.3.7 on Redhat 7.2, and I don't have your problem. I
start the server with "vncserver -alwaysshared". Then I start two viewers in
non-shared mode, and they both stay connected. If I start the server with
just "vncserver", then the first viewer is kicked out when the second one
connects. So it works just like the documentation says.

Have you checked the log for error messages?

Have you verified that the server you connect to is the one you started with
"-alwaysshared" and not another instance that was started earlier?

Have you verified that "-alwaysshared" does get added to the command line of
XVNC? Any one of the graphical replacements for PS and Top should be able to
show the full command line. I use KPM.
