Stephanie:

Heya. I'm going to presume that you're running a VNC
Viewer on a Windows PC, trying to connect to another Windows
PC that's running a VNC Server. To get started, it's just:

http://www.realvnc.com/winvncviewer.html

Usually, in the prompt for the VNC Server name, you'll
enter an IP address, something like "192.168.1.101". This gets
tricky quickly, however, if you're trying to connect to a PC
and you don't know it's numerical IP address, or if either of
the PC's is behind a corporate firewall. If you can describe
your situation in a bit more detail, we can provide a bit more
detail with our help.

Lastly, if you have the budget, you might want to take
a look at www.GoToMyPC.com. It's commercial software, and it's
specific to Windows, but it's point-and-click and might be the
solution you're really looking for.

cheers,
Scott
