There is a patched version of VNC by Jay Freeman that he posted to the
list a couple of years ago:
http://www.realvnc.com/pipermail/vnc-list/2001-February/020303.html

Not much activity (and his FTP site says he had a server crash), but the
binary and patch are still available.  Maybe someone that wants
multi-monitor support bad enough can pick up the torch and see what is
going on with it.
