Use the HTTP-via-RFB patch. This patch will make the applet download (http) and the RFB traffic to work over the same port.
If you want to use port 80, you need 65536-5900+80 = 59716 in the WinVNC "Display Number" field, and connect to 65536+80 = "hostname:65616". http://home.earthlink.net/~jknapka/vncpatch.html Dhiraj -----Original Message----- From: Arjan Hooghuis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 16 June 2003 07:05 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Web server and VNC java server on same port? At my work it is only possible to use port 80 for internet. I would like to control my computer at home through the VNC java server. However I have already web server running on port 80. I have read that it is not possible to have to services run on the same port. Does anyone have any other solutions? Thanks. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
