Hi folks,

Problem in a nutshell-- My "/sbin/init.d/vnc" vncserver script works just fine if I'm logged into "root" on my UNIX box and issue "/sbin/init.d/vnc start". I can connect via a VNC client accordingly, and I'm displayed what I expect from my "xstartup" script. But, when my "/sbin/rc3.d/S99vnc" link is called during boot, or when I'm moving from a lower "init" level, I receive the infamous "grey screen of death". Now, the "S99vnc" vncserver server script is executed as designed, and the Xvnc process is there, but the contents of my xstartup script are not working for some reason, no matter what the contents are (the standard "xterm", /usr/dt/bin/Xsession, etc.) . . .

I've looked at permissions, paths, and display variables, but everything looks okay from what I can tell. Obviously, I'm overlooking something?

Any direction would be greatly appreciated! I'd be glad to forward file contents, etc. if that'd help . . .

Regards,
Joey
