Hi all,

i came across vnc recently and the other evening i had my own trial of the
product.
running the server on a low spec machine and the viewer on my high spec
machine.

everything went well and was impressed.....when i was finnished i turned off
both machines and left it at that.

The following day i turned on both machines (which are not networked), the
high spec comp was fine and went about its business without any unusual
hic-ups, however the low spec and server pc would not boot up!!

soon i realised the c:\ was not being found. It would not even allow me into
the bios. So then i booted from floppy
and still no c:\, it will not run any dos commands such as "fdisk" or
"format c:" and it currently appears as though the
hard drive has packed in due to the fact that it was ready to die
anyway...or perhaps a virus followed my connection to that pc...there are a
number of possibilities but i was just wondering if anybody else had heard
of this type of problem????

If so perhaps there is something i should know for future use??

I would just like to say that i am not blaming vnc for this at all, the pc
needed upgrading anyway and i lost nothing valuable.

Many Thanks for any returns

G
