Hi, Charles,

The VNC server acts as just another display on another
host, at least in an *nix environment.  So if the vnc
server is LinuxBox:1, you might be able to set the
environment variable DISPLAY to LinuxBox:1 from any
shell or script that runs on the HPUX box (or any other
box for that matter).  Any X clients that are launched
should show up on LinuxBox:1, even though they are apps
running on the HPUX box.  I think it's all handled by
the X protocol.

Another idea: is it possible to start a VNC server on
the HPUX box?  If the compiled binaries are not
available, perhaps it can be compiled from source.
