Thanks! This seems to be the issue. I tried "xhost +" and it worked. I have also tried "xhost +linuxserv" (after a "xhost -") and that worked.


Is there a configuration file where this can be made permanent? (I read the xhost man page. Sorry if these questions seem basic to old unix/linux hands. I'm a winnt/2k sysadmin wanting to add linux servers to my networks.)
