My father is 74 years old but he still actively works as a webmaster at the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. He is having problem with his XP machine and asked for my help. I am trying to find a solution to get access to his PC through the firewall of his university, but no luck.
Recently I received support from the DELL server support team, they accessed our server through our firewall by using Webex.
http://www.webex.com
I didn't have to open any pinhole on our firewall in order for them to get access to our server, all I had to do was to go to the webex website, on a page I had to type in a username and password, and voila, DELL support team had remote access to our server.
Is similar method planned to be included in RealVNC in the future?
I don't think, that a webserver is necessary for a single (trusted) conection, some java or active-X solution should work without it.
Any idea on how could get access to my father's PC the least expensive way?
