We are running VNC viewer on Windows XP and Windows 2000, and VNC server on
a Windows 2000 platform.
When using viewer on Win2k, the control-break keystroke comes through just
fine, and we are able to break out of various applications. However, when I
am running the viewer on my XP machine, control-break does not work
properly, but instead generates a control-K (^K). I've tried it on another
XP machine, and it has the same problem, but it works on all the Win2k
machines here. So it seems to be platform-related.
I searched the archives and found only one other mention of this problem,
and someone advised the person to try using the "Ctrl Down" menu item, then
pressing break separately... I tried this, but it does not work for the
Control-break.
Anyway, does anyone know whether this might be a problem with the viewer, or
if it's just an XP glitch? Any chance that the viewer could be modified to
fix this?
