Both ends are win2k and VNC 4b4. I am using local cursor rendering (default installation).
What happens is that when I drag and drop, the local cursor rendering stops and only the remote rendering happens. But this is much slower and makes it hard to navigate. The local rendering seems to come only with the full screen updates which takes about 4 seconds (from home to work).
If I drag and drop locally on the machine, the cursor stays as an arrow, but the file name becomes highlited and transparent and moves with the cursor.
Thanks,
...Karl

Karl,
Are you saying that the client cursor dissappears when you drag and drop, or the server cursor? Are you using local cursor rendering at the client? Are you *sure* that you're running VNC 4b4 at both ends?
Cheers,
