Settings: Our VNC server runs on Win2K, and viewer on Win98 and Win2K. Problem: One of our GUI application has been released multiple times on the server, each time the app ran fine from viewer: The GUI displayed on the viewer and responded button presses, etc.But lately a new version does not work any more: no graphic display of the app window.
The GUI application is developed in C# with only a few features such as button, menus, groups, text box, etc. Initally we thought it was the background image added to the app that causes this. But removing of it did not fix the problem. Other observations: We found that the process of the app appears in the task list, and the icon appears at the buttom. But we just cannot see the window form on VNC viewer. If we close it from the icon at the button, we got a response pop-up window asking for confirm. Strangely though, the app does appear on the console terminal. It also appears if we run from Remote Desk Desktop that connects to Terminal Services.
