I was wondering if some one could help me.
Currently I am using 56k modem, which gives me unsatisfied quality when running VNC.(to much time lag)
I have 2 machines running VNC 4.0b4.(With default settings)
Both running windows 2000
Machine 1(client) spec- PIII 1000 512 Ram
Machine 2 PIV 2.0 512 Ram
I need to able to write and edit text on the remote computer.. So therefore need quick refresh rate so I can type without lag.
SO I am looking at upgrading my modem.
There are vary of differenet pipe sizes that I can buy E.g. 128kb, 256 kb 512 kb, 1 MB, 2MB
I need to know what would be the miniumin bandwidth reqiured to give satified result when editing ?
And is there a need to upgrade any hardware and any advanced setting i should have ?
Thank you
