Since you didn't specify, I'm making the assumption you are using a newer Microsoft OS. You have different passwords set in the "User Properties" and the "Default Properties". Either remove the User one from the registry or set them both to be the same. The "User Properties" are used when a user is logged in and are specific to that user.
