Hi:

I am using Real VNC 4.0b4. My server is running as a service on a Windows XP
Home machine at home. I connect from the office using either a Windows 2000
Professional or a Red Hat Linux 9.0 PC. I also connect the opposite way from
time to time.

My problem is with connecting to the XP Home machine. I can always connect
quickly and flawless via cable modem on each end. But sometimes right away
and sometimes after a number of minutes, I get disconnected with a
"ZLibInStream inflate failed" error message on the Windows 2000 machine
and a similar message when I connect from the Linux PC. I can be connected
any time for 5 seconds to 10 minutes. I can't find any particular pattern.

I do occasionally get a "dead screen" by which I mean the remote machine
appears connected but no mouse or keyboard commands work. I can disconnect
and reconnect and everything is fine (neither PC is actually locked up -- I
just have a frozen screen image). I am not sure these two issues are
related.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jess
