This works great - thanks Joe. Pete -----Original Message----- From: Joe Kexel [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2003 10:44 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Getting modem to answer
I have done it under XP PRO, but I believe with Home it is the same. Control Panel --> Network and Internet Connections --> Create New Connection --> Create Advanced Connection --> Accept Incoming Connection --> Then select users, etc and config TCP/IP. You should select the ip range to be a range of two ips for dhcp, such as 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 The first will be the host pc and the second will be your dial up PC's ip. Then vncviewer to 192.168.0.1. That should work. I have used a similar set up myself. Have fun!
