Hello,

I use SpyCop on my computer to check for spy software. For the last several
months when I do the scans the software never finds any spy software.

The other day I download the newest version of the software and it has a new
feature called Super Stealth Scanning. I use that version and it says that
there is possibly spy software on my machine. It says that the file is located in
the C:\System Volume Information\_Restore... and it lists a lot of numbers
and the last thing in the path is a number with .DLL at the end. When I click on
more info it brings up a Google web page with a lot of links about VNC. So, I
go to the control panel and turn off the system restore and I ran a scan
again and it didn't find that file again. So, I turn the system restore back on
and use the system for a while and did another scan and the system came back
clean.

I am an IT guy so I know never to download software from e-mails that I
didn't expect to receive, so could someone please tell me if it is possible to
install this VNC software without me knowing about it (no one never uses this
computer). What other ways can I check to see if my system has been tampered with?
Does anybody know what type of path that was that Spy Cop detected?

Thanks in advance for any input.
