Hi all. I recently installed VNCServer on my RH9 machine at home. I then installed VNCClient on my Win2K machine also at home. I run "vncserver" on my linux box and I am able to get VNCViewer working on my win2K machine with no trouble. [192.168.2.39:1]
When I go to work, also win2k, I am unable to get the client working. It doesn't find the server. From work I use my internet IP [68.8.88.134:1]. My cable router has a virtual server in it and I port forward 5800, 5801, 5802, and 5803 to the same port on 192.168.2.39. I guessed these ports based on what I have read on the internet. I don't know how to check to see what port vncserver is actually using. I am using PuTTY (ssh) at both locations with no problems. Any help is greatly appreciated. FYI, I am very newbie to linux.
