Hello,

I need to change a VNC setting, but without changing
the registry.

Specifically, my situation is as follows. I live on a
campus, and want to access my dorm computer from the
campus network using RealVNC. The two networks are
separate, but I can make SSH tunnel using OpenSSH and
PuTTY. If I set the VNC client to connect to
localhost:0, there is the error "Local loop-back
connections not allowed." I need to change the
AllowLoopBack setting in the registry, but I do not
have permission to do edit the registry on any of the
school computers.

Is there a way to change this setting for VNC without
editing the registry? (something like *.ini file, or
command line parameter)

Thanks,
Dan
