ZoneLabs have confirmed that a bug in ZoneAlarm 4.5.530 can result in connectivity issues with certain applications, including VNC 4.0. Their recommended resolution is to revert to the previously-installed release of ZoneAlarm on affected systems, and to remain with that version until the next post-4.5.530 release of ZoneAlarm becomes available.
