Does it give you any error messages in the system longs (on Linux I would look at /var/log/messages, not sure where Solaris would have them).
Does VNC work enough to create a log in ~/.vnc ?
Nothing in the messages file, and nothing appears in ~/.vnc ( unless I the run the startup script manually)
