Livio, By default, VNC 3.3.7 will attempt to run on port 5900. Similarly a default install of VNC 4.0 will attempt to run on port 5900 under windows. You must set the two versions to use different ports if you wish them to co-exist. Even though VNC 4 was running, it was not actually accepting connections, because it couldn't get port 59000, because that was already in use by VNC 3.3.7.
