Hi,

The PC in Missouri, for the purpose of this exercise is the server and the
PC in Maryland is the client.

The "server" is software that is connected to from another piece of software
(the "client"). The server can be another PC with software installed to be
connected to.

You need to install VNC Server onto the PC in Missouri. You can then see it
from the PC in Maryland (the client)

Hope this answers your questions.

Best regards,
Dave Colliver

Maryland and have a PC located in Missouri (MO) with a MS Access database.
The PC in MO is not server and I want to be able to access the PC in
Missouri to do some work from my PC in Maryland.

mean that the computer has to be a real Server? Or is the word server really
another PC.
> 2) Basically, I want to understand the meaning of the server and client
when it comes to VNC.
