Well, common sense tells me that if you could already *remote* install VNC in 
a certain machine, VNC is redundant, unless it's a matter of taste or choice, no?

        For W9x, someone had to be physically present to install VNC, unless you have 
other remote access software like PC-Anywhere.  But if you had PC-Anywhere, there's 
not much interested to VNC (cf my last paragraph).

        On the other hand, in W9x, VNC can't be started when nobody's logged on, if 
that's what you're asking for.  Please RTM.
