        Wow, tricky. Since you can't install software on your PC
at work, you'll have to use the builtin Java-viewer that comes with
your VNC Server. The trick in your case will be accessing it: you'll
have to get the VNC Server mini-Web Server to listen to port-80 (it
usually listens to port 5800+N, where "N" is the VNC Display Number),
and get the VNC Server itself (which usually listens to port 5900+N)
to listen to port-443 (ie, the HTTPS port, which is almost always
allowed thru proxies if port-80 is allowed).
        Unfortunately, I have no idea if you can setup your VNC
Server on your Linux box at home to do this. :) I am hopelessly
optimistic though...
