I have installed VNC 3.3.7 on a Windows 2003 server (that is hosted remotely) while logged in remotely using an administrator account. When I try to connect to the server I get the message: java.io.IOException: This server does not have a valid password enabled. Until a password is set, incoming connections cannot be accepted.
I did set a password while logged in remotely, but it apparently doesn't work if you connect to the console directly. Is there any way to set the password from the remote control session? I'd rather not incur service charges by having the hosting company logon to the server to set the password for me.
