I have VNC running as a service on my WindowsXP box without a firewall (cable) through port 5844 (for Java applet).
I can access it from just about anywhere, but when I am at work it doesn't work. I can get to the VNC authentication screen in the java applet and type in a password, but when I hit connect, it sits there for a while and then I get "java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Operation timed out" My guess is that something is blocked at my work, but is there a way around this?
