Thanks for your reply. I'm a little confused by what you mean when you say "make sure 
VNC server is really in service mode". Can you elaborate.
 
And I'm still not sure how to change the default (original password). I've just 
noticed that the original password also applies when the workstation is locked by a 
user. But when that user has unlocked the workstation, the new password is in effect.
