Hi, my problem is an old one and was already discussed in the Mailing list in Oct 2000 by Jeffery Boerio and Thomas Maciukenas.
This Problem ist still present to me, using VNC-server 3.3.7 on Linux an VNC-clients on Windows. Sometimes the authentication fails withe the unknown result. After a while it may work (or not). There is no deterministic behaviour.
