Connection through Dial up

Dear all,
 
Can I use the VNC to connect two computers connect to the internet via
modem dial up?
 
I tried and it did not work. I got the IP of every computer after the
connection to the internet using IPconfig/all and tried to connect, but
it did not work.
 
Any suggestions.
