Did you, by chance, specify the AuthHosts registry value (or something
similar) before and then you forgot it afterwards? On the other hand, you're using
WinXP. Check if you've activated the built-in firewall and check if it's configured
correctly.

Subject: server configuration???

Hi,

Using:
vnc4.0
win xp pro

Problem:

I travel. Currently and perhaps due to my limited knowledge of vnc, I have to
configure the server to 'add' the ip addresses of the locations FROM WHICH I
am connecting. Otherwise, it won't let me connect. Why is this? How can I
bypass/avoid this?

Can't I just connect regardless of where I am in the world without changing
the settings on the server configuration on the computer to which I am
attempting to connect? See the problem I am having here?

Thanks for info!

Elke
