I have read through quite a few posting re the problems with a linksys router but so far have not come up with a solution.
My dilemma is the same: I can access vnc from any machine on my home network (4 of them) no problem with the lan ip address can also use java in the browser using lan ip address. I have a web and ftp server which both work from outside using DNS2GO which I have used for years, I can also use TS web to access my home machines from on the road. So far I can not get VNC to connect from anywhere outside the LAN. I have ports 5800 to 6000 open (forwarded)just to avoid more problems. But still no connection. I have worked with routers a fair bit and am used to the protocols but this has me baffled just for the record: Port 21 and 20 forwarded work fine for ftp to this server. Port 80 forwarded works fine to this server. Port 3389 for RDP also forwarded and works fine for TS web. DNS2GO being used for dns resolver due to isp being dynamic and changing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
