If your VNC's are connected across Internet, that would be quite hard because 
Windows doesn't support NFS nor does it accept "mounting" an ftp directory as a disk 
drive ......

        Maybe you have to setup a VPN tunnel.  Then share your local CD drive so then 
remote machine could mount (connect) your shared drive.

        I don't know if SMB could work across Internet or what port it's using.  (BTW, 
is SMB based on TCP/IP?)  You might need to find documentations yourself.
