Just downloaded VNC current versions. Viewer is:
vnc-3.3.7-x86_win32_viewer.
Server is on Windows 2000 Pro.
Client is on Windows XP home (5.1 SP 1)
Connection is 56K modem
ISP is MSN
VPN is Cisco 4.0
According to the troubleshooting doc, I have shut 'Fast User Switching'
off. Don't seem to have an entry for 'Remote Administration' though.
When I run the viewer from a Linux box (at work) everything works fine.
However, when I run the viewer from home on my XP box, over the VPN, it
exits quietly as soon a password validation is complete. If I type the
wrong password on purpose, I do get an error that I entered it wrong,
thus telling me that the viewer was talking to the server.
Can anyone help please?
