First of all, you have to know that VNC client window reflects server 
machine's screen resolution, not the other way round.  If your server machine can't 
support such a resolution, you can't have it.

        On the other hand, resolution in server isn't changed according to client 
window size.  You have to do this as if you're sitting in front of the server machine, 
ie, for Windows, you right click on the desktop and choose properties and then change 
resolution, etc, etc, etc
