Screen saver?  System has got into sleep/doze mode?  If possible, just 
activate screen-saver made by Microsoft and maybe turn off monitor after a certain 
time, but avoid using getting into sleep/doze/stand-by whatever mode.  VNC might not 
be able to awake your computer.
