That means your VNC server is running in WinME (in a laptop), right?  And the 
others laptops are running WinME too?  Have you compared the screen's colour depth 
amongst your laptops?  Are they the same?  Or do you have a special mouse pointer 
other than Microsoft's default mouse pointer?  Or have you got the correct video 
driver/DirectX?
